This initiative has been established with the aim of tackling the social invisibility and isolation experienced by many young migrants and refugees in Europe—a challenge we define as the «Voice Gap».
By combining human-centred volunteering methodologies with the strategic use of digital tools—such as podcasting and digital storytelling—the project equips youth workers to guide these young people in creating their own narratives. In doing so, it promotes their active integration and the development of key competences for their future.
Key Objectives
To deliver this transformation, the project is structured around three specific, interconnected objectives:
- Co-creation of a «Digital Toolkit»: Designing and publishing a practical, open-access guide, available in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian and Turkish). This resource will provide educators and youth workers with step-by-step methodologies to leverage digital tools in support of social inclusion.
- Capacity Building for «Digital Change Agents»: Training a cohort of 24 young youth workers and volunteers from the four partner countries through a 7-day transnational training activity in Zaragoza, Spain, equipping them with skills in leadership, intercultural mentoring and digital communication project design.
- Implementation of Local Capstone Projects: Facilitating the launch of at least four tech-based initiatives designed and led by the trained young participants themselves, directly involving a minimum of 80 young migrants and refugees in their respective local communities.
Expected Outcomes
- An open, multilingual educational resource: The Digital Toolkit for Agents of Change, hosted on this website and on key European platforms (such as the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform, SALTO-YOUTH and EPALE) to enable organisations across the continent to replicate the methodology free of charge.
- A transnational network of young leaders: 24 youth professionals formally certified through the Youthpass system, possessing advanced competences in digital social inclusion and mentoring tailored to multicultural, trauma-informed environments.
- A digital content portfolio with social impact: Co-producing a series of digital outputs (such as podcast channels, short video documentaries and social media campaigns) alongside young migrants to raise awareness and positively influence public perception in host communities.
- Institutional strengthening: A consolidated strategic alliance among the consortium organisations, laying the groundwork for future larger-scale European projects in the fields of social inclusion and digitalisation.
